Overview
The first Illinois Parallel Language Design Workshop provides an opportunity to present and discuss some of the most important issues today in parallel programming language design. Four moderated panels will address the following:
- Determinism or Non-Determinism? — moderated by Marc Snir, UPCRC Illinois
- The Role of the Compiler in Language Design — moderated by David Padua, UPCRC Illinois
- Functional vs. Imperative Languages — moderated by John Feo, Microsoft Corporation
- Hardware Support — moderated by Bob Kuhn, Intel Corporation
